Addis Ababa, leveraging its status as a diplomatic hub, hosted approximately 150 international and continental events in the first nine months of the budget year alone, a 50% increase compared to the previous year, which injected 155 billion Birr into the local economy. The government is now actively decentralizing these opportunities, recently inaugurating the Arba Minch Conference Resort, which features a 1,300-delegate capacity hall, to distribute the economic benefits of business tourism beyond the capital.

The nation's appeal is anchored by a deliberate strategy to integrate heritage preservation with modern infrastructure. Flagship "Dine for Generation" projects, including Unity Park, Entoto Natural Park, and new eco-resorts—have transformed both urban and rural landscapes into world-class destinations.
